CT Scan results are back
So this was another "exciting" night....
Spine
I skipped right to the part involving my spine and it looks like good news:
"There is a linear calcification of the ligamentum flavum at the level of T7 vertebra measuring approximately 4.6 x 16 mm. There is a smaller focal ligamentum flavum calcification at the level of T6 measuring 1 x 2 x 1 mm."
So this is fine and is related to my skiing accident waaaay back when or some other back injury I accumulated along the way....
But I missed the section: "Other Findings" which put found something in my lungs...
Lungs
I didn't catch it but Elizabeth saw it and had a very concerned look on her face when she read the report. The report said I have: "There are scattered bilateral calcified lung granulomas." There are scattered bilateral calcified lung granulomas." Which after having a Glioma anything ending in "oma" doesn't sound good. Looking this up it is much less ominous than it sounds. The granuloma sounds like a natural part of the body fighting off infections. The calcification however is a bit more than standard operating procedure for fighting off the infection.
The term "scattered" doesn't help me much though....how scattered are we talking about? 2% of my lung area has scattered granulomas or are we looking at closer to 40% or higher? I will ask some questions and see if I can get the official pictures.
Teddy, could this lung thing because you have had COVID 10+ times?
ReplyDeleteFor soooo long Ted has had a "dry cough". Is this related?
