got some wins...finally...
Before we get to the wins it looks like I will be going into Boston for Radiation treatment...the commutes will not be pleasant but it should only be for 6 (maybe 12) weeks. So that will be suboptimal for stress and time but could be much worse....
So the wins:
- Got my stitches out and it feels amazing to have them out for a few reasons:
- Head is WAY less itchy
- it is not painful to roll around in my sleep
- Got my spine MRI done and there is no spread to the spine. HUGE win. The likelihood was very low that there would be spread but I was getting a little mad at the universe that it was continuing to throw me undesirable curveballs I was sure I was going to get another one despite the fact that my more logical side said that the numbers were big time in my favor....I got a call from my Oncologist Tammar Berger (who is supposed to be my Quarter Back for treatments moving forward (good omen my QB's initials are TB?)) maybe an hour after the MRI and she explained what was not found.....but they did find SOMETHING....which I need to figure out how to move forward with. They found something tiny that no one seems to be concerned about and they believe it is remnant of physical damage probably caused when I had my skiing accident back in ~1996 (which caused 2 crushed vertebrae, nerve damage (discovered much later) and scapular dyskinesis.
- I also had a huge time gap in between getting my stitches out and having the MRI. So I ran to Dino's in the North End for a Dino's special and brought it to Christopher Columbus Park. The weather was perfect and somehow the sub was better than I remember.
Nice Lunch Teddy. TB is the goat!
